Please note that to support our mission and to cover the cost of revision feedback, editing, and publication, there is a fee to become a published author in one of our books.

Unveiling the Secrets...

has reached #1 New Release status in several non-fiction Amazon Books categories, our authors have participated in live book readings, and the books have been on local bookshelves near and far. We want to keep the movement going, offer a brave space for even more aspiring authors to share their words, and create a safe community to explore important topics often kept in the dark. We want to make sure everyone who submits feels supported and encouraged by the power of their words, so all submissions:

are considered for publication,
receive professional feedback from a published author and experienced writing coach,

planning guide!

Theme for the Books:

Each book has a theme that focuses on asking questions, sharing our stories, and reflecting on important and often controversial topics in order to "unveil the secrets," and reveal truths from our experiences that help connect us, bring us together, and make us feel seen.

You will be able to select which theme options you want your submission to be considered for, and you may choose the "open" option and we will find the best fit if your piece is selected.

Entry Fees & Levels

Level A: $250 fee; Choose this option if you have written a polished piece/chapter that you feel would be a good fit for our book series. The fee includes our process for consideration for publication (no guarantee of acceptance), professional feedback and critique from a published author and experienced writing coach, and a free PDF copy of Dr. Shana V.'s This is the Year You Write Your Book planning guide! This level is for the writer who wants to write and submit their polished work without any support from us.

Level B: $1000 fee; Choose this option if you want to simply submit an idea for a piece/chapter that you feel would be a good fit for our book series, and you want our support to actually write and polish your piece/chapter. The fee includes automatic guaranteed acceptance and publication in one of our books, professional feedback and support to go from idea to final draft, one year access to our Embodied Writing Community, writing days, book and writing marketing calls, a free PDF copy of Dr. Shana V.'s This is the Year You Write Your Book planning guide, and five copies of the published book mailed to you. This is for the writer who has ideas for the piece/chapter they want to submit, but would like in-depth support to polish and publish their work.

Instruction for Submission:

Complete the following application and be sure to upload your chapter/piece for consideration.

You are allowed one chapter/piece per submission, unless you are submitting shorter genres like poetry or multimodal pieces.

All work must be original and cannot be published or submitted anywhere else at the time you are submitting the work to us.

Remember, if you are choosing Level B, you only have to submit a short piece that explains/describes what you are planning to write for our book.

Why do you want to be a part of the Unveiling the Secrets book series?

Author Bio (please write a 250 words or less author bio that will be published with your writing if accepted)

Please share any of your social media profiles, website links, etc. to be included with your author bio if accepted. Note: these are not required for acceptance. You can put your most professional email here as well.

Submit your Writing Please submit a non-fiction chapter/piece focused on "Unveiling the Secrets" around an important and even controversial topic. You may focus on one of the themes/topics in the drop-down menu below and we encourage you to write outside of the box and share reflections, a story, an experience, etc. that speaks to you around the big picture focus of this book series. We focus more on quality and depth of content than length. We also accept different genres of writing, so feel free to submit 2-3 pieces of poetry, song lyrics, multi genre pieces, etc. Your submission must be original work, any quotes or information that is not your own must be properly cited, and you may only submit a piece to one publication at a time. Include the shareable Google doc link here. Please make sure you set your Google Doc permissions to "Anyone with the link can comment"

REMINDER: For Level A, you need to submit a full, polished piece. For Level B, you can simply submit a paragraph of your ideas for submission.

Submission Agreements

Please carefully review and complete the following section to ensure a full understanding of the submission process and agreement with Synergy Publishing Group.

I can attest that my submission is my own original work and has not been published before and/or has not been submitted for potential publication elsewhere.

By acknowledging this, I understand that, if accepted, my writing submission will be published in a book by Synergy Publishing Group. I understand that, if accepted, my name and author information as submitted will be shared with my writing submission in the published book. I understand that Synergy Publishing Group will retain all copyrights to the writing submitted within the book only, royalties on books sales, and any other potential value related to the published book. I understand that I may purchase additional author copies of the book to sell as I see fit.

I understand that my submission will not be considered for publication/acceptance until I remit payment. I understand that unless I select Level B submission fee, there is no guarantee of publication. If I chose Level A fee and I am not accepted, I understand that I retain the rights to my submitted writing and I am allowed to revise and submit this writing (and others) again for an additional submission fee.
